Can you enter?

Entry is restricted to Citizens and PRs, Spouse & Children of Citizens/PRs, Other Residents (pass holders), Transit, the following travellers may also enter:
• Nationals of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican City (Holy See) and EEA Member States;
• British nationals who reside in Iceland and have a residence certificate (C-122), which can be obtained at
• Residents of countries listed in greenlanes if arriving from their country of residence.

Other important information:
• Nationals and residents of Iceland without a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point are subject to a fine upon arrival.

For Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe:
• Vaccinated travellers arriving from these countries are not exempt from on-arrival Covid-19 test

What to expect in Iceland?

📝 Before your trip

You must obtain advance arrival permission to board your plane.
You are required to complete a pre-arrival form.
Form Details:
Travellers must complete the "Preregistration for visiting Iceland" at before arrival.

For more information:

You will need a formal Medical Certificate presenting a negative PCR test from an accepted establishment.
Your Certificate must be within 3 days of your arrival.
Testing Details:
Travellers must have:
- a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point, and are subject to a test upon arrival and quarantine for 5 days; or
- a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point, and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Details can be found at; or
- a certificate of previous COVID-19 infection. Accepted proof are: positive COVID-19 PCR test result issued at least 14 days and at most 180 days before arrival, or presence of antibodies against COVID-19 measured by ELISA serologic assay. Details can be found at
The test and the certificates must be in Danish, English, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish.
