Entry / Exit Key Updates

  • Malaysia remains relatively closed to those who are not citizens or residents. As Singapore rescinded the Reciprocal Green Lanes (RGL) agreement with Malaysia, there aren’t any active Greenlane agreements in place at the moment. All inbound Malaysian travellers are required to produce negative test results along with a mandatory quarantine.
  • New / Changed General Restrictions: Malaysia looking to ease restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated. Number of local transmissions of Covid-19 cases continue to rise rapidly. Malaysia has one of the fastest vaccination rates currently at 400,000 doses a day.
  • Travel Restrictions are expected to be in place for the foreseeable future, although vaccination efforts have begun. As of 1 July, 11% of Malaysia’s population have been fully vaccinated, and 24% have received at least one dose.
