Entry / Exit Key Updates

• Changes: Malaysia extends total lockdown until daily new Covid-19 cases drop below 4,000, and its targets on vaccination and intensive care unit (ICU) bed usage are met.
• Travellers are subject to quarantine at the first point of entry into Malaysia
• As of 28 June, 6.7% of Malaysia’s population have been fully vaccinated, and 17.1% have received at least one dose.

• EU adds a new set of countries to its safe list which now includes the US
• New Zealand has suspended their travel bubble with Australia as new Covid-19 cases continue to increase
• Countries have launched “vaccine tourism” programs in order to revive travel
• A total of 2.96 billion vaccine doses have been administered globally with 821 million people fully vaccinated. This translates to 11% of the global population.
