Entry / Exit Restrictions Key Updates

  • Singapore remains largely closed to non-citizens or residents. The current Greenlane arrangements are strictly conditioned towards business travel however with exhaustive terms and conditions to ensure safety. The Air Travel Pass currently covers Taiwan, Australia, Brunei, China, Vietnam and New Zealand. The Reciprocal Green Lanes now only covers Japan only at this point.
  • New / Changed general restrictions – While Singapore has suspended the Reciprocal Green Lanes (RGL) agreements for Malaysia, South Korea, Germany and Indonesia – they have introduced Connect@Changi which is essentially a “bubble-wrapped” business centre that allows business travellers from all over the world to conduct meetings and business travel without the need to quarantine.
  • Travel restrictions are likely to still be in place until the country has a healthy rate of vaccinations. In the meantime, we expect more Air Travel Pass or Reciprocal Green Lanes to be negotiated in the near future.
