Entry / Exit Key Updates

  • Indonesia remains relatively closed to those who are not citizens or residents. Entry exemptions may also apply to travellers with a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP), APEC Business Travel Card, or traveling under the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA).
  • Entry for travellers arriving from several African countries banned due to the Omicron variant. As of November 30, Zambia is now included in the list
  • Quarantine period for inbound travellers increased to up to 14 days
  • International travel restrictions are expected to be in place for the foreseeable future, although vaccination efforts have begun. As of 14 December , 39% of Indonesia’s population have been fully vaccinated, and 56% have received at least one dose.

Key Routes Updates, travelling from: 

  • Singapore: This route is now open through the Indonesia-Singapore Vaccinated Travel Lane
  • Malaysia: This route is generally closed for travel other than for Indonesian Citizens or Residents, travellers with a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP), APEC Business Travel Card
  • Philippines: This route is generally closed for travel other than for Indonesian Citizens or Residents, travellers with a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP), APEC Business Travel Card, or traveling under the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA).

  • The United States along with many European countries implement new travel restrictions.
  • Travel restrictions around Asia continue to be updated to help contain cases of the new Omicron variant.
  • A total of 8.4 billion vaccine doses have been administered globally with 4.4 billion people fully vaccinated. This translates to 47% of the global population
