Entry / Exit Restrictions Key Updates

  • To ensure the safety of Singapore’s citizens and residents, it remains closed to those who are notified in advance. Business travel is allowed with stringent terms that require notification beforehand. The Air Travel Pass currently covers Australia (except Victoria state), Brunei, China, and New Zealand
  • Hong Kong – Singapore quarantine free travel bubble has been postponed due to spike in cases, updates to be released on June 13
  • Singapore and Malaysia have started accepting applications for cross-border travel on compassionate grounds. People from either country can apply for cross-border travel to visit family members for emergency reasons such as death or critical illness
  • Travellers arriving from very high-risk countries/regions must undergo on-arrival Covid-19 test,
  • Travellers with a valid Letter of Approval for the SafeTravel Pass Application under the Connect@Singapore Scheme are no longer exempt from the entry restriction.
  • Nationals, permanent residents of Singapore, travellers with a Business Travel Pass (BTP) or a Pre-Approved Business Pass (PBP) must present a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test result, taken within 72 hours before departure from origin.
  • The government has announced that travel restrictions will continue to be in place until there is a healthy rate of vaccinations. In the meantime, we expect more Air Travel Pass or Reciprocal Green Lane to be negotiated in the near future.
  • As at 24 May, 28.3% of Singapore’s population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 37% have received at least one dose.

  • Covid-19 cases rising in other countries aside from India, with Argentina recording the highest daily cases in the past few weeks.
  • A total of 1.87 billion vaccine doses have been administered globally, with 423 million people fully vaccinated. This translates to 5.4% of the global population. 
  • European Parliament reached a provisional agreement for an EU-wide certificate for those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
