Product update: Travel bookings made even smoother (And easier to report on!)

We’re always working on ways to improve your travel booking experience at TruTrip. This month, we’ve got a bunch of updates that make finding information, managing travel bookings, and getting reports easier than ever.

Crystal clear confirmation emails

No more squinting to find important details! We’ve revamped our confirmation emails for flights and hotels to make them clearer and more user-friendly. Here’s what you can expect:

• Booking for Someone Else? It’ll be clear right at the top of the email.
• Easy-to-Follow Itinerary: Multi-city trips with layovers or return flights are now displayed clearly, including any self-transfers you need to make.
• Important Info at a Glance: We’ve highlighted airline/hotel reference numbers, our booking numbers, and key email addresses for easy access.
• Everything You Need, Attached: We’ve added a PDF attachment to all confirmations that include your invoice and booking voucher.

We’re also working on adding even more helpful details to emails in the future, like aircraft type and the lead traveller’s name for hotel reservations.

Get the data You need, faster

We’ve made some big improvements to the Bookings Reports page to help you gain insights into your travel spending quickly and easily.

• Filters at Your Fingertips: Filters are now at the top of the page for faster application. You’ll see real-time updates to both table and card reports as you filter.
• Actionable Insights at a Glance: Get a quick overview of total spending and trips by group, label, departure date, currency, and more.
• Support Team Gets Supercharged: Our support team can now export reports on your behalf (with your permission, of course) and send them to a designated email address for easy access.

Booking Rejections Made Clear

We’ve improved how we communicate automatic booking rejections to help reduce any confusion and support tickets.

• Rejection Notifications: Booking requests that are automatically rejected because they weren’t approved before the trip will now clearly state “Automatically Rejected by TruTrip” in the notification.
• Same-Day Hotel Bookings: We’ve adjusted the auto-rejection timing for hotel bookings to 12 hours after check-in. This allows for more flexibility with same-day hotel reservations and takes time zone differences into account.

Labels: Organize and track your bookings like a pro

We’ve added a new labelling feature to simplify tracking and managing bookings for different teams, departments, or projects.

• Travelers Take Control: Travelers can now assign labels when booking flights, hotels, and trains.
• Reporting Made Easy: Managers and admins can easily filter booking reports based on these labels. Labels will also be included in exported reports for clear tracking.

Bonus mini-features!

We’ve also snuck in a couple of smaller updates you might find helpful:

• Fare Class Info: Flight search results now display fare class information to avoid confusion about pricing with mixed fares and cabin classes.
