Product Update: Smarter hotel searches with Preferred Hotels

We’re always working to make travel simpler, more transparent, and easier to manage. In this release we’ve made some upgrades to the hotel search by introducing Preferred Hotels and an upgraded sorting logic. We also added a first version of a fare comparison CSV export for further analysis.

1) Preferred Hotels

We know many companies have hotel partnerships or encourage bookings with preferred properties, but ensuring that travellers stick to these guidelines can be a manual chore. Our new Preferred Hotels feature makes this effortless.

What’s new:

• Super-admins can now mark hotels as “Preferred” directly from the hotel search page.
• These hotels will appear at the top of search results when any team members searches in the same city.
• A clear “Preferred Hotel” badge on the details page ensures travellers know which options are aligned with policy.
• You can manage all preferred listings in Company Settings > Corporate Rates.

It’s a simple but powerful way to encourage compliance, without constant nudges or reminders.

2) Upgraded search logic for Accommodation search

Similar to flights, we introduced a default “Recommended” sort option when searching for accommodation in a specific area. The recommended search is based on a weighted sorting logic combining star ratings (0-5), guest reviews (0-10), chain affiliation (eg Bonvoy), distance to the destination, and price.

The new upgrade displays more relevant 和 higher-quality hotels on top that are more suited for business travel. Helping users find the best options faster without having to filter manually. See it in action 这里。

Note: we are working on a new “configurable” lowest logical fare feature which allows you to customise the sorting logic based on your companies preferences! More soon.

3) Run a deeper insights analysis by exporting flight comparison data

Admins can now download a CSV file with comparisons between the booked fares against the lowest available fare at the time of search. Very powerful for further behavioural or cost-analyses!

The CSV file holds booking details & price per flight booked, the best alternative found (and the cost per flight), and the price difference between the two. Ideal to get a quick understanding if your team are consistently over / underspending on their bookings.

What’s new:

• Go to Reports > Booking Reports
• Select all the bookings that you want the comparison data for and hit “Export as CSV” and select Fare Benchmarking Report.
• The CSV file will be sent to your email within a few minutes (up to an hour for large files)
