Entry / Exit Restrictions Key Updates

  • Singapore remains largely closed to those who are not citizens or residents. The current green lane arrangements are strictly conditioned towards business travel, with exhaustive terms and conditions to ensure safety. The Air Travel Pass currently covers Australia (except Victoria state), Brunei, China, and New Zealand.
  • New / Changed general restrictions – Currently, all Reciprocal Green Lane entries applications from Indonesia, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea have been suspended. However, travellers with approvals before the suspension was in effect will be able to continue the trip per the approved controlled itinerary.
  • Hong Kong – Singapore quarantine free travel bubble has been postponed due to spike in cases, updates to be released on June 13
  • Singapore and Malaysia have started accepting applications for cross-border travel on compassionate grounds. People from either country can apply for cross-border travel to visit family members for emergency reasons such as death or critical illness
  • Travellers arriving from very high-risk countries/regions must undergo on-arrival Covid-19 test,
  • Travellers with a valid Letter of Approval for the SafeTravel Pass Application under the Connect@Singapore Scheme are no longer exempt from the entry restriction.
  • Nationals, permanent residents of Singapore, travellers with a Business Travel Pass (BTP) or a Pre-Approved Business Pass (PBP) must present a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test result, taken within 72 hours before departure from origin.
  • Travel restrictions are likely to still be in place until the country has a healthy rate of vaccinations. In the meantime, we expect more Air Travel Pass or Reciprocal Green Lane to be negotiated in the near future.
  • As at 24 May, 28.3% of Singapore’s population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 37% have received at least one dose.
