💉 Vaccine exemptions
There are no vaccine exemptions at this time.
These exemptions only apply to:
Authorities announced that, effective 4 May, travellers who have received at least one dose of an approved vaccine or who have recovered from COVID-19 within 10-90 days prior to the date of arrival will be allowed entry into South Africa. Unvaccinated travellers must present a negative PCR or antigen test taken not more than 72 hours and 24 hours before the date of departure, respectively. Travellers under 12 years old and daily commuters from neighbouring countries are exempt.

There are no pre-arrival test requirements at this time.
On Arrival you may be required to complete a test for Covid-19 and/or some form of medical screening, the cost borne by the traveller

All travellers will be screened upon arrival. Those who fail to pass screening protocols will also be required to quarantine. Unvaccinated travellers wiithout a pre-arrival Covid-19 test must quarantine.
